For the Orthodox Easter

Pays De Fayence Solidaire is organising a trip to the Orthodox monastery of St Michel du Var, on the occasion of the Orthodox Easter as it is practised in Ukraine.
The date of this celebration, which is the liturgy of St Chrysostom, will be Sunday 24 April.
This day is open to Ukrainians from the canton who wish to attend, but also to their host families if they so wish.

The transport, free of charge, will be by bus, leaving the canton around 9.00 am.

The monastery is nestled in the heart of a forest.

There is a church, a chapel, a pond, reception and residence buildings.
A picnic area will be available, as well as toilets and a water point. There will also be a room for bad weather.

The liturgy will be celebrated at 10.30 am, with the blessing of the food.
Ukrainian participants are invited to decide during the weekend what special food will be blessed and eaten on this occasion.

In the afternoon, an easy walk of about 2 hours 30 minutes in the woods and around the vineyards will allow us to discover the surroundings.
The return to the canton is planned for around 7pm.
